Pakistan Railways Headquarters Office, Lahore, has announced new contract-based employment opportunities for retired supervisory staff from the Carriage & Wagon and Mechanical Loco Departments. Applications are invited from suitable retired Pakistan Railways employees for various categories on a contract basis for an initial period of one year.

These vacancies are specifically intended for retired employees who have previously worked in the relevant categories and possess the required technical qualifications and professional experience. Selected candidates will be engaged subject to physical fitness and other terms and conditions mentioned in the official advertisement.

The maximum age limit for eligible retired employees is 62 years.

The Carriage & Wagon Department has announced 21 vacancies in different technical and supervisory categories.

TXR/G-III – BPS-14

There is 01 vacancy for TXR/G-III in BPS-14. Candidates should have a DAE in Mechanical and at least 20 years of experience in the Rolling Stock repair and maintenance field.

Foreman/Grade-I – BPS-14

The department has announced 02 vacancies for Foreman/Grade-I. Applicants should possess a DAE Mechanical qualification and have a minimum of 20 years of relevant Rolling Stock repair and maintenance experience.

Contract Period and Eligibility

The initial contract period will be one year. The contract may be extended for another year if required by the department.

Salary and Benefits

Selected retired employees will receive salary according to their relevant BPS-06, BPS-09, BPS-11, BPS-12, or BPS-14 category, based on their last pay drawn, along with applicable allowances.

However, the selected employees will not be entitled to any additional payment or benefit relating to gratuity or pension under this contract appointment.

The selected employees may be posted anywhere within the Pakistan Railways system, depending on departmental requirements.
